I have been wanting a 3-in-1 coat for a while, and I compared several brands online. I considered buying a North Face since it's quite popular, but I went with the Bugaboo after reading all the good reviews. For the price, I'm glad I chose Columbia.

The coat is very well-made and has a great design. The liner zips in and out with ease, and it doesn't bulk under the shell. There are snaps in the cuffs and collar that keep the liner in place. The zippered pockets and drawstrings are nice additions to the shell. Also, I like that the hood detaches when all I need is a light windbreaker.

The liner is warm enough for every day use during the South's (mostly) mild winters. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and it is nicely form fitting. The shell does a great job keeping out wind and rain. Even though it's lightweight, it's warmer than I thought it would be since the wind isn't seeping through the seams. My husband has a similar Columbia coat which I wore one night and LOVED. We live in Montana where a warm coat is critical and I was so excited to find this coat at such a great price. However, I was so disappointed when it arrived. I put it on and my arms felt like they were being squeezed by a blood pressure cuff. I'm admittedly an XL, but wow...the inner fleece was unbearably tight and restricted moving my arms at all. I kept the coat for several days, trying it on with a variety of shirts, hoping that it would magically fit. No luck. The most discouraging part was when I slipped my arm into the outer shell without the fleece, it was fine. For a moment I considered keeping the coat for the outer shell and wearing one of my other fleeces, but what's the point buying a set if the insulating warm layer doesn't fit? Reluctantly, I sent the coat back. Whatever your size, be sure to order a size up. If you're an XL like me...look elsewhere.

This is a really nice coat and was exactly what I expected! The fit is great and it is very warm for the cold winter days and the fleece can be worn seperate for the days that aren't as cold. Love!
