Columbia Women's Plus Size Arcadia Rain Jacket

If you find this jacket on sale pick it up, bottom line! I am reviewing this for my wife, and also because I just picked up the "male" version of this jacket as well.

Wife absolutely loves this jacket and uses it year round. I absolutely agree with the other sizing comments, my wife is normally a size "small", but when I held it up in the store it looked like a child's jacket so I opted for the much larger size "Medium" and that seemed much more reasonable by eyeballing it. Lo and behold the Medium was just enough and if anything we could have gone bigger.

This jacket has seen all types of action, and yes it does serve the purpose of being waterproof. Not so sure if the omni-tech fabric is 100% even in an extreme downpour, but not alot of things are considering water always finds a way in. This jacket is great except that it doesn't fit. I'm a 2X and this definitly runs small. The price for a 1X/2X is about $66, but jumps to $94 for a 3X. I'm returning this to Amazon and have already purchased a 3X directly from Columbia.com for $78. Columbia.com also has more color choices.

As a plus sized women it is nice to find performance outerwear in my size. This jacket is true to size and is a great rain jacket and wind breaker. It is light weight and stuffs nicely into a bag for hiking. I recomend this jacket for all outdoor activities.
